The record of the previous meeting was taken as read and copy on information table. AOB /Matters Arising – A reminder was given about the competition table. The trading table is now being run by Marnie Beaurain and Cynthia Stroud. A reminder was given regarding Resolution Forms to be handed in at the next meeting. The SEFWI AGM on 6th March at Trinity Park, Ipswich was discussed. Names were given in and monies paid. Travel to be arranged later. Correspondence – Denman Brochure, Suffolk Show Schedule , W.I.News ,200 Club Lottery and Equality and Diversity in the W.I. document were all discussed and put on the information table. Gill Campbell was introduced to us. She is a Feoffee (Trustee) for a Beccles Charity. She is the first woman feoffee in 450 years, definitely an “Inspiring woman”. She told us all about her role and the charity that has helped the people of Beccles for 500 years . Used stamps are being collected for hearing dogs.Our speaker was Mr Jon Read who told us all about “ Soap and Soap Powders”. He gave us an amusing and interesting talk with slides on the subject. Members were heard whispering “My Mother use to use that”. The vote of thanks was given by Pam Davey. Christmas quiz winners were presented with their prize. The Eira Moore cup was presented to Pam Davey as she won for the second year running. 2ndLurline Rumsby , 3rd Norma White and 4th Jeannie Nicholson. Congratulations to all.
